Five Premier League clubs pursue Barcelona's Marc Casadó with Nottingham Forest leading the chase
A member of Barcelona's midfield ranks has become one of the most sought-after young talents in England with the transfer deadline looming. No fewer than five Premier League clubs have set their sights on the signature of Blaugrana youngster Marc Casadó.

Out of Flick's plans
Casadó has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spotify Camp Nou throughout the summer. Out of the plans of Barcelona boss Hansi Flick, the 22-year-old has been connected with potential moves to a whole host of clubs across Europe and beyond.
To date, Saudi Arabia has been tipped as Casadó's most likely landing spot. The player himself, however, is eager to stay put in one of Europe's top-five leagues. With that knowledge in mind, a number of Premier League clubs are now expressing a keen interest in his services.
Forest lead the race
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing English outlet TEAMtalk: 'Several Premier League clubs have inquired about Casadó's situation, with one team leading the race to sign the midfielder. Nottingham Forest are the most interested, with Aston Villa, Newcastle, Brighton and Sunderland also in the running.'
Barcelona are hopeful of securing around €40 million through Casadó's sale, a fee that would help balance the books as the Catalans reshape their squad under Flick.
