BBC Sport Rolls Out Daily Football Quiz Triple-Header to Test Fans' Knowledge

A Daily Triple-Header for Football Fans

BBC Sport is putting football supporters to the test with a daily triple-header of interactive quizzes, each targeting a different slice of the game. The line-up — Who Am I?, Five in Five and Brainteaser — can be played one after another, offering fans a quick but addictive way to measure their football knowledge.

Who Am I?

The headline challenge asks players to identify a mystery footballer in as few attempts as possible. After each wrong guess, a new clue is unlocked, and the fewer clues a player needs to land the right answer, the higher their score. It is designed to reward genuine football knowledge rather than lucky guesswork.

Five in Five

For those who prefer a race against the clock, Five in Five sets the task of getting five correct answers inside five minutes — a fast-paced test of recall under pressure.

Brainteaser

The third quiz is the toughest of the trio. The Brainteaser poses a "fiendishly difficult" question, giving players five lives before the answer is finally revealed.

How to Play and Keep Playing

The quizzes are presented as a stacked package, so once a player finishes the first challenge they can keep scrolling to take on all three. For those hungry for more, BBC Sport directs fans to its dedicated Football Quizzes and Sports Quizzes pages, where they can also sign up for notifications to have the latest quizzes sent straight to their device.

BBC Sport is also inviting reader involvement, urging fans to get in touch and send in their own quiz ideas.

An Ongoing Fixture

The quiz format has become a regular feature for the broadcaster. When the triple-header was first introduced on 13 September 2026, it was built around the same trio of challenges — Who Am I?, Five in Five and Brainteaser — and has continued to return with fresh questions. Later editions have placed the spotlight on a Premier League 'Who Am I?' challenge, testing fans against a mystery top-flight star.

With each new day bringing a fresh mystery footballer, a timed five-question sprint and a devilish brainteaser, BBC Sport's quizzes remain a daily ritual for supporters looking to prove exactly how much they know about the beautiful game.
