Villa ring-fence £18m for Viveros
Aston Villa have set aside the money for a possible £18m bid to sign Athletico Paranaense and Colombia striker Kevin Viveros, according to Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte.
The 26-year-old has been in prolific form in his homeland — a player snapshot taken on 11 October credited Viveros with 27 appearances, 19 goals and three assists in Brazil's Serie A in 2026.
Busy January shaping up at Villa Park
Viveros is far from the only forward on Villa's radar heading into the winter window. The club are also planning a loan move for Real Madrid's 20-year-old Brazil striker Endrick, while they are among the clubs monitoring Rennes striker Esteban Lepaul, for whom Everton hold the strongest interest.
Whether £18m would be enough to prise Viveros away from Athletico Paranaense remains to be seen, but the fact that Villa have already earmarked the funds suggests they intend to act decisively once the transfer window opens.
