Milan Open Talks to Tie Adrien Rabiot Down Until 2030
Milan Move to Reward Rabiot's Flying Start
AC Milan have begun negotiations to extend Adrien Rabiot's contract until 2030, with the club ready to reward the France midfielder for an outstanding start to the season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, talks over a new deal are already under way and Milan hope to have the renewal signed before the end of 2026. Initial contact has been made with his mother, who acts as his agent, and the Rossoneri are prepared to offer him a pay rise.
The move would follow the renewal of defender Strahinja Pavlovic earlier this week, part of Milan's wider push to lock down the core of a squad that has started the campaign strongly under Ruben Amorim.
Three Goals, Three Assists in Eight Games
Rabiot has three goals and three assists in eight games this season, an improvement on an already productive first campaign at the club. The numbers underline just how central he has become to Amorim's side.
His most recent contribution came in Thursday's 4-0 Europa League win at RB Salzburg, where he was involved in all three goals scored by teenage attacker Alphadjo Cisse. Rabiot started the moves for the first two and supplied the third himself with a perfectly weighted pass.
Freed from defensive duties in Austria, he thrived in a more advanced role, and Amorim could use him there again in the weeks ahead.
From Marseille to San Siro
Rabiot joined Milan from Marseille for around €7.4m last year, largely because of his relationship with former boss Massimiliano Allegri. He chose to stay after talks with the club during the summer and has started every game under Amorim.
Sunday's visit of Atalanta should be no different, with the midfielder expected to retain his place as Milan look to build on their unbeaten start to the Serie A season.
