Amorim skips Milan press conferences to focus on packed schedule

Ruben Amorim will not hold his customary pre-match press conference before Milan host Atalanta on Sunday, and will also skip next Saturday’s briefing ahead of the trip to Udinese.

According to MilanNews24, the decision was agreed with the club in advance and is not connected to any unusual development. Milan’s tightly packed Serie A and Europa League calendar has prompted Amorim to prioritise time on the training pitch at Milanello.

European duties take precedence

Amorim spoke to reporters in Salzburg on Thursday after Milan’s Europa League fixture. He is expected to address the media again in Bournemouth after the club’s league-phase match against the Cherries on 22 October, leaving little space between European and domestic commitments.

The Portuguese coach, who is usually expansive in his pre-match briefings, is still scheduled to speak after both the Atalanta and Udinese matches.
