Ronaldinho’s Ravenna return set for November 15 derby against Forlì
Ravenna confirm date for Ronaldinho’s return
Ronaldinho is scheduled to return to competitive football on November 15, 2026, when Ravenna host Forlì in a Serie C derby at Stadio Benelli.
Ravenna president Ignazio Cipriani confirmed the date, describing the comeback as real after the club announced Ronaldinho’s signing at an event in Miami in June.
“The Magic never left; now it’s time to bring him back onto the pitch. The return is real,” Cipriani said in a statement via Ansa.
“They told us it was impossible. On November 15, Ronaldinho will take the pitch at Stadio Benelli in our shirt, and in a match as important as the derby against Forlì,” he added. Cipriani said the club had turned an idea that once seemed impossible into an occasion attracting international attention.
Playing time remains uncertain
The former Brazil international, who previously starred for Barcelona and Milan, has yet to train with Ravenna. He has reportedly been watching the team’s matches, while his brother and agent, Roberto De Assis, was seen at the club’s stadium in late September.
How many minutes Ronaldinho will play has not been disclosed. His last competitive appearance came for Fluminense in 2015, more than a decade before the planned Ravenna outing.
