Jaiswal’s record-setting knock came against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens while chasing 150. He launched a devastating attack on KKR’s stand-in captain Nitish Rana, hammering a six off the very first ball and following it with another maximum and two fours. He plundered 26 runs in the opening over—the second-most expensive in IPL history at the start of an innings.

He raced to 37 off just nine balls and brought up his 50 in 13 deliveries, ultimately finishing on a stunning 98 not out off 47 balls, with 12 fours and five sixes. His innings concluded with a six, sealing the match in 13.1 overs—a true masterclass in aggressive batting.
