David Neres injury rules him out of Napoli’s Venezia trip
Neres unavailable after Villarreal defeat
Napoli will be without David Neres for this weekend’s trip to Venezia after the Brazilian winger experienced muscular discomfort. He came on as a second-half substitute in Tuesday’s 3-1 Champions League defeat to Villarreal and has since been assessed by the club’s medical staff.

The extent of the problem has not yet been established. Napoli did not mention Neres in its Thursday training update, but he will not be involved at the Penzo.
Three players return to training
There was more encouraging news for coach Massimiliano Allegri, with Frank Anguissa, Mathías Olivera and Alisson Santos back in full training and available. Favasuli and Vergara remain sidelined until late November.
Allegri is weighing changes to his line-up. Kevin De Bruyne is expected to begin on the bench, while Lorenzo Lucca is pushing to replace Rasmus Hojlund in attack.
The absence adds to a difficult start for Napoli, who have lost four of their first eight competitive matches—the club’s worst such opening in 17 years, according to the report. Venezia, meanwhile, are bottom of the table without a point and will have new coach Davide Nicola in charge for the first time.
