Australia's Ben Treloar and India's Parashar Joshi will swap domestic venues this season as part of the Cricket Australia-Board of Control for Cricket in India (CA-BCCI) Umpire Exchange Program, giving both officials the chance to gain experience by working in each other's domestic competitions.
The arrangement will see Treloar stand in two Ranji Trophy matches in India, while Joshi heads Down Under to officiate in two Sheffield Shield fixtures and a single One Day Cup game.
Treloar's India Assignment
Treloar brings considerable experience to his Indian stint. He has officiated in 30 first-class matches, 20 List A matches and 39 Big Bash League games, along with two Women's One Day Internationals and four Women's T20 Internationals.
He will open his India assignment with Delhi's Ranji Trophy match against Gujarat from October 18 to 21 in Delhi. He will then officiate in Mumbai's match against Haryana from October 26 to 29 in Mumbai.
Beyond his on-field duties, Treloar serves as Cricket New South Wales' Umpire Education Officer, helping train and develop future match officials. His work in umpire education has earned him four George Borwick Memorial Awards from the New South Wales Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association.
Joshi's Australian Itinerary
Joshi arrives in Australia with extensive experience across India's domestic circuit. He has officiated in 19 first-class matches in the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy, 32 List A matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Deodhar Trophy, and 40 T20 matches.
His T20 assignments include matches in the Indian Premier League and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Joshi's Australian assignment will begin with Queensland's Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania at the Gabba from November 11 to 14. He will then officiate in the One Day Cup match between the two teams at the same venue on November 16.
His exchange program will conclude with the Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and Queensland at the Sydney Cricket Ground from November 22 to 25.
