On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga, Bharatiya Janata Party's National President Nitin Nabin performed yoga at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar, using the platform to address a critical social issue in Punjab.

Speaking to ANI, Nabin emphasized that while yoga provides a new identity and enthusiasm to the country, it can also serve as a powerful tool for social healing. He specifically called for a collective resolve to eliminate drug addiction, which he described as a "curse" that has devastated lives across the state.

"I believe that it is time for Punjab to say no to the curse of drugs... Let us make yoga a part of your life," Nabin declared.

The BJP President highlighted the deteriorating lifestyle and eating habits of modern society, compounded by environmental pollution. He argued that in such challenging circumstances, yoga remains the "only mantra" to maintain health and reclaim a life of dignity and wellness.
