Corinthians appoint Clarence Seedorf on deal through 2027
Seedorf takes charge with Corinthians near the relegation zone
Corinthians have appointed Clarence Seedorf as head coach on a contract through the end of 2027, bringing the former Netherlands midfielder back into football management.

The 50-year-old inherits a side sitting 16th in the Brazilian top flight, one place above the relegation zone, with eight matches left. He replaces Fernando Diniz, who was sacked last week after Corinthians lost seven league games in a row.
“Taking on this challenge is an honour, but also a huge responsibility,” Seedorf said. “I am here to give my all and build a team that fights for every ball, every minute, every victory.”
A return to the dugout
Seedorf’s previous coaching work included spells with AC Milan, Shenzhen FC and Deportivo La Coruña, as well as the Cameroon national team. His last coaching role was with Cameroon, more than seven years ago.
His Corinthians squad includes former Manchester United players Memphis Depay and Jesse Lingard. Seedorf retired in 2014 after a playing career that brought four Champions League titles: two with AC Milan, one with Real Madrid and one with Ajax. He remains the only player to have won the competition with three different clubs.
