Flick says Barcelona must learn from PSG defeat after Champions League holders expose them late
Flick takes lessons from Barcelona’s first defeat of the season
Hansi Flick said Barcelona had plenty to learn after Paris Saint-Germain beat them 4-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday, ending the Catalans’ unbeaten start to the season.

“It was a fantastic match. In the end, PSG showed that they are a better team than us,” Flick said. “We lost this match, but we learned a lot from it.”
The Barcelona coach pointed to PSG’s quality on the counterattack and said his side tired in the closing stages. “We tried to defend against them, we did it well, but in those last fifteen minutes we weren’t fresh,” he said, adding that the team would analyse the performance and look to improve.
Flick praises Espart and waits on Olmo
Flick singled out Xavi Espart for praise after the youngster scored his first Champions League goal. “He played a fantastic game. He scored the goal and the level he plays at is incredible,” Flick said.
The coach had no definitive update on Dani Olmo, who took a knock and later felt discomfort. “We’ll see with Olmo. He took the hit and then felt a bit uncomfortable afterward. We have to wait,” he said.
