Torino hit with stadium ultimatum as mayor demands Fila future plan by December 31
Granata at a crossroads
Torino's uncertain future at the Stadio Filadelfia has reached a flashpoint, with Turin mayor Stefano Lo Russo handing president Urbano Cairo an ultimatum to present a stadium partnership proposal by December 31.
As the club marks "100 years in Fila," Lo Russo reminded Cairo of his "official commitment and presses him for explanation." Granata fans, the reports noted, were "left bewildered by the notable absence of both the team and club officials from the celebrations honouring the legendary pitch." Coach Ignazio Abate, for his part, kept the focus on the pitch: "Our focus is on winning in Parma."
