Nigar Sultana set to step down as Bangladesh T20I captain after Asian Games

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana has made a big call on the country's T20I captaincy, with the wicketkeeper-batter set to step down from the role after the Asian Games.

Sultana, who has been the face of Bangladesh's women's team for years, will bring the curtain down on her time as skipper following the women's T20 event at the Asian Games — a decision that ends one era and opens the door for a new leader to take Bangladesh women's cricket into its next cycle.

The timing is significant, coming at the end of a regional season in which India's women reasserted their dominance at the Asia Cup and individual milestones tumbled across the rankings.
