Arjuna Ranatunga's advice to Mumbai's budding cricketers: 'Focus on wearing your national cap, education, respect your parents and coaches'

Arjuna Ranatunga had some old-school advice for Mumbai's budding cricketers. 'Focus on wearing your national cap, education, respect your parents and coaches,' the former Sri Lanka captain told the young players.

The World Cup-winning legend's message was refreshingly simple: talent counts for little without discipline, education and humility. For a generation of youngsters coming through in the T20 era, Ranatunga's words were a timely reminder that the long game still matters.
