Hull City midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath involved in crash near training ground
Car overturned on Millhouse Woods Lane
A black Mercedes understood by the BBC to belong to Hull City midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath was involved in a crash on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, near the club’s training ground. Images from the scene showed the car on its side. A witness told the BBC the vehicle also struck and damaged a resident’s car.

Hull City said it was “aware of images circulating on social media following a road traffic accident near the training ground” and confirmed that “no one was harmed in the incident”. Humberside Police said emergency services were called at 08:30 GMT.
Residents raise road-safety concerns
The crash is the second involving a Hull City player on the same road in three weeks. Teammate Sorba Thomas was involved in an incident there in September.
Local resident Paul Nickerson said he arrived shortly after the car overturned, having heard the noise. He told the BBC that his wife had been walking along the road with their children shortly before the crash, adding: “So, it’s really worrying.”
Tracey Evans, who has lived on the road for 19 years, said she had been asking for the speed limit to be reduced for about a decade. She said children and parents were using the road at the time of the incident and called for measures “to avoid something happening in the future”.
