Milan travel to Udinese without Rabiot, Gila and Moreira as injury list grows

AC Milan have been hit by a fresh injury blow ahead of Sunday's Serie A trip to Udinese, with Adrien Rabiot, Mario Gila and Diego Moreira all ruled out of Ruben Amorim's squad.
According to Sky Sport Italia, none of the three have been included in the travelling party for the game at the Bluenergy Stadium. Rabiot is dealing with fatigue in his right calf, while Moreira has a similar issue in his left hamstring. Gila, meanwhile, is suffering from inflammation in his left ankle caused by overload.
All three had been expected to return to the starting XI after Thursday's 3-0 Europa League defeat at Bournemouth, where Rabiot came on at half-time and Moreira started.
Amorim's absentee list piles up
The absences add further pressure on Amorim, who is already contending with a lengthy injury list. Samuel Chukwueze has been ruled out for at least two months with a hip problem, while Matteo Gabbia and Alexis Saelemaekers remain sidelined for the long term.
There is brighter news on Gonçalo Ramos, who has recovered from a calf issue and returned to full training on Friday.
Form favours Milan despite the setbacks
Milan go into the fixture fourth in the table on 15 points and still unbeaten in Serie A under Amorim. By contrast, Udinese have lost five games in a row.
The Rossoneri's unbeaten start to the league campaign survived a scare on October 12, when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Sassuolo. Rabiot, a key figure for Amorim, was Milan's joint-top scorer at that stage with three goals, and only Roma's Donyell Malen (six) had more Serie A goal involvements than the Frenchman's five (three goals, two assists) in the 2026-27 season. A week later, on October 18, Milan edged Atalanta 3-2 at San Siro in a thriller in which Rabiot inspired all three Milan goals before a late fightback from Gianluca Gaetano and Nikola Krstovic.
Busy week ahead
Milan face a demanding week, hosting Bologna on Wednesday before the derby against Inter on 31 October. All three of Rabiot, Gila and Moreira will be assessed ahead of those fixtures.
