Sunday Surge for 'Udta Teer'

Ayushmann Khurrana is currently entertaining audiences with Udta Teer, a spy comedy that also stars Sara Ali Khan, and the film has just logged its strongest single day at the Indian box office.

According to Sacnilk, Udta Teer earned Rs 8.10 crore in India net collections on Sunday, its third day in theatres. That marked an 11.7% increase over Saturday's haul of Rs 7.25 crore. The Sunday earnings came from screenings across 6,020 shows in India.

Where the Opening Weekend Stands

With its latest domestic earnings, Udta Teer has continued its opening-weekend run. The movie's worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 27.58 crore, according to the reported figures.

The jump from Saturday to Sunday suggests the film is gaining momentum as it moves through its first weekend, with the third-day figure standing as its best single-day result so far.

Backdrop: Khurrana's Koffee Confession

The box office update arrives alongside renewed attention on Khurrana's early career. On Koffee With Karan, the actor recalled a 2007 attempt to contact filmmaker Karan Johar, only to be told by someone at the production house that it did not audition outsiders and newcomers.
