Flick auditions wonderkid Ebrima Tunkara as false nine in Barca pre-season experiments
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has been experimenting with exciting youngster Ebrima Tunkara in training, and it appears the 16-year-old is being handed a surprise new role.
According to Diario Sport, Flick has tested Tunkara out as a false nine during pre-season training with the first team as well as in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Europa. The teenager marked the occasion with a goal in a 4-1 win for Barcelona.

A role shift ahead of squad changes
Tunkara has previously operated in midfield and on the right wing for Juvenil A, but Flick appears keen to see him in a more central attacking role. The move comes with the departure of Robert Lewandowski and with Ferran Torres heading for PSG, opening up room in the forward line.
The 16-year-old has clearly been impressing Flick during the club's recent training camp in England, with the Barcelona boss reportedly describing Tunkara as a “great talent.”
One of the club's brightest prospects
Tunkara is regarded as one of the brightest talents coming through the ranks at Barcelona at present, and it looks like Flick is already trying to work out where his best position might be for the Catalan giants. With pre-season form like this, the teenage forward is giving his coach plenty to think about.
