Cadillac Unveil Special 4th of July Livery for British Grand Prix
Cadillac Celebrates American Heritage at Silverstone
Cadillac has joined the likes of McLaren and Williams in unveiling a special livery for the upcoming British Grand Prix weekend. With the event taking place over the 4th of July weekend—which will mark America's 250th birthday—the squad has opted to honor their roots by sporting a design featuring the red, white, and blue colors of the country's flag as well as the stars and stripes icons.
The special livery will adorn the Cadillac cars for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, with the color scheme also set to feature across the garage dressing, driver helmets, and team kit. Additionally, it will be displayed in New Orleans at the Cadillac Formula 1 Team x Jim Beam Pit Stop BBQ at ESSENCE Fest.
Team CEO Emphasizes Pride in American Representation
"The 4th of July weekend is a moment for us to show our continued pride in representing the United States on the global stage of F1," said Dan Towriss, CEO of the squad. "We want to use it as an opportunity to allow new communities to discover the sport and share our passion."
Looking Ahead to Silverstone Performance
Looking ahead to Cadillac's on-track fortunes this weekend—off the back of a tough outing last time out in Austria—Team Principal Graeme Lowdon commented: "The Austrian Grand Prix was a challenge for us—but there is not one team in the pit lane that has not had similar days."
"We have been working incredibly hard to rectify the issues. We have seen that the upgrades brought to Spielberg were positive, and our objective in Silverstone is to ensure that we have a clean weekend to maximize the performance potential we see."
"We appreciate it's a big task—especially coming so soon after Austria—but we will take every opportunity to learn, move forward and continue our progress as a team."
The British Grand Prix weekend promises to be a celebration of American motorsport heritage with Cadillac's special livery paying tribute to the team's national roots while competing on one of Formula 1's most prestigious stages.
