One of the smallest nations ever to grace the FIFA World Cup stage is set to make its historic tournament debut in style. Cape Verde, an archipelago of 10 islands off the western coast of Africa, has unveiled its official kits for the 2026 World Cup, marking a defining moment for the nation both on and off the pitch.

Designed by American sportswear brand Capelli Sport, the kits come in home blue and away white versions and feature a unique triangular pattern that replicates the flight paths connecting Cape Verde’s scattered islands. This intricate design is more than aesthetic—it symbolizes unity, connectivity, and the shared rhythm of a people dispersed across land and ocean.

The home jersey combines two shades of blue with a striped collar and cuffs, evoking the nation's maritime identity. The away kit, meanwhile, blends two tones of white, offering a crisp, minimalist contrast. Both feature a structured polo collar, engineered mesh panels for breathability, and a tatami-style crest placement—a nod to traditional craftsmanship.

At the heart of the design is Cape Verde’s national crest, prominently displayed with a striking blue shark—"Tubarão Azul"—emblematic of strength and resilience in local culture. An authenticity label sewn into each jersey commemorates the historic collaboration between the Cape Verdean Football Federation and Capelli Sport, which is also making its first appearance as an official World Cup kit supplier.
