Part of a packed UAE schedule

The fixture is part of a multi-format block Afghanistan are hosting in the UAE. Earlier coverage reported on 10 September 2026 that Afghanistan would host Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in the UAE, with a tri-series in the ODI format scheduled from 17 to 23 October, three T20Is from 27 October to 1 November, and a two-Test series from 5 to 17 November.

Zimbabwe look to rebuild in 50-over cricket

For Zimbabwe, the tour offers a chance to rebuild in the 50-over format after a 3-0 ODI series defeat in Harare in September, when Josh Inglis's century sealed a one-wicket win for Australia in the final match. Earlier reporting from 10 October 2026 said Zimbabwe had named Raza as captain for the UAE tour, with Tafadzwa Tsiga and Vincent Masekesa close to debuts.

The full team lineups have not yet been published. Match details are subject to change and the BBC notes that some content is provided by third parties and is unverified.
