Hardik Pandya named in India A squad for Australia A series subject to fitness
All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been named in the India A squad for the upcoming three-match One-Day series against Australia A, subject to fitness clearance. The series, which comprises two multi-day games and three one-day matches, will take place in Puducherry from September 22 to October 11.
Pandya has been sidelined from competitive cricket following the Indian Premier League, having spent time undergoing a Performance Block Programme at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. He had been managing a back spasm and subsequently picked up a quadriceps injury, which ruled him out of recent international assignments, including the Afghanistan series where he had previously been named pending fitness clearance.
Alongside Pandya, fast bowler Vyshak Vijaykumar has also been included in the multi-day squad subject to fitness clearance.
