Barcelona summer signing Jesse Bisiwu declares himself ready for Hansi Flick call-up
Barcelona summer signing Jesse Bisiwu has sent a clear message to head coach Hansi Flick, declaring that he is fully prepared to make his senior competitive debut whenever the opportunity arises.
The Belgian prospect arrived at the club during the summer transfer window and quickly caught the eye of supporters and coaching staff alike during pre-season, notably finding the back of the net in a friendly fixture against Swiss outfit FC Basel.

While Bisiwu awaits his official senior bow in competitive competition under Flick, the teenager is determined to force his way into first-team contention through relentless work on the training ground.
Ready for the First Team
Speaking to Belgian outlet RTBF, Bisiwu opened up about his mindset and ambitions at the Catalan club.
“I’m here to be the next one on the list. I’m going to give everything to achieve that. It’s a great pleasure to be here,” Bisiwu said. “My role this season is very simple: to work incredibly hard. I’ll do everything the coach asks of me. And if he needs me, I’ll be ready.”
Brazilian Inspiration
Bisiwu also shed light on his style of play, revealing that former Barcelona superstar Neymar was his ultimate childhood idol, while current winger Raphinha is a key reference point in the dressing room.
“I like having the ball at my feet and I love duels. My favorite player is Neymar, ever since I was little. It’s thanks to him that I started playing football. I love his style of play,” Bisiwu explained.
“And at Barcelona, in my position, I like Raphinha, a very good player. And another Brazilian, yes (laughs). I like the Brazilian style. I’ve already spoken with him several times.”
The youngster is currently on international duty with the Belgium Under-21 national side as they compete in European Championship qualifiers against Belarus, Wales, and Denmark.
