Hussey Open to England Batting Coach Role for Ashes Under Fleming
Hussey Open to England Role Despite Ashes Rivalry
Former Australia batter Mike Hussey has revealed he is open to the idea of joining England's coaching setup for next year's Ashes series after being approached by newly-appointed England head coach Stephen Fleming.
Fleming, who took over as England's Test coach in July after replacing fellow New Zealander Brendon McCullum, has reportedly sounded out Hussey about a potential batting consultancy role. The two share a longstanding professional relationship spanning 15 years at IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings, where Fleming has served as head coach and Hussey as both player and batting coach.
Speaking to Fox Sports News, as quoted by Reuters, Hussey made it clear that while he has not made a decision, he would not dismiss the opportunity outright.
