Middlesex seal permanent signing of Yorkshire wicketkeeper Harry Duke on four-year deal

Middlesex have completed the permanent signing of wicketkeeper-batter Harry Duke from Yorkshire on a contract that runs until the end of the 2028 season.

The 25-year-old spent two separate loan spells with the Lord's-based county during the current campaign. Duke initially joined Middlesex in May as injury cover for Joe Cracknell before returning later in the summer for the remainder of the season.

His permanent switch comes hot on the heels of Middlesex's One-Day Cup triumph on Sunday. Duke played a crucial role in the showpiece at Trent Bridge, scoring a vital 55 as his side defeated Leicestershire to lift the trophy.

Duke has been in exceptional form in red-ball cricket as well over the past month. He struck a career-best unbeaten 100 against Durham in the County Championship before following it up with 94 in his next outing against Gloucestershire.

His consistent performances behind the stumps and with the bat have now secured him a long-term future at Middlesex through to 2028.
