Crackdown on Content Creators

Dynamo Dresden has issued a stern warning to influencers and vlogging spectators, reminding them that recording matchday experiences at the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion for public distribution is strictly prohibited.

The newly-promoted 2.Bundesliga side emphasized that the use of recording equipment for the purpose of sharing content on social networks or video platforms is not allowed without "express prior permission" from the club. The move is designed to protect the commercial interests of the club and its broadcasting partners.

“If content is monetized, the respective creators primarily benefit, while our club receives nothing,” the club stated in their announcement.

Beyond the financial implications, Dynamo Dresden highlighted the importance of the fan experience. The club noted that many supporters prefer to enjoy the game without the presence of constant cameras in their vicinity, stating that "consideration and mutual respect are therefore essential prerequisites for a positive atmosphere in the stands."

The club did, however, urge those in the K-block—the area home to the club's ultras and hardcore fans—to use recording devices like smartphones "sensitively and responsibly."

A Growing Trend Across Germany

Dynamo Dresden is not alone in this stance. Hansa Rostock, currently competing in the 3. Liga, took similar measures in December, noting a significant increase in vlogging. Hansa Rostock warned that recordings intended to "go beyond private memories" and move onto monetized platforms would not be tolerated by security staff, bluntly advising fans to "leave your cameras in your backpack."

Dynamo Dresden is set to begin their home campaign this Sunday against Darmstadt.
