Anne Hathaway’s six essential films to stream before ‘Verity’ arrives

Six Anne Hathaway films worth streaming before ‘Verity’

Anne Hathaway’s upcoming thriller Verity is drawing renewed attention to the actor’s filmography. Before the 2026 release arrives, viewers can revisit six of her notable performances, spanning fashion satire, romantic drama, science fiction and heist comedy.

The Devil Wears Prada

One of Hathaway’s defining films, The Devil Wears Prada follows journalism student Andy Sachs as she takes a job assisting Miranda Priestly, the formidable editor of a leading fashion magazine. What initially appears to be a career-making opportunity exposes Andy to the relentless demands of the fashion industry. Directed by David Frankel, the 109-minute film is available on JioHotstar.

The Intern

Nancy Meyers’ warm workplace comedy pairs Hathaway with a retired professional who joins a fast-growing retail company through its senior intern programme. As the company’s founder navigates pressure over its future leadership, she forms an unlikely friendship with her new assistant. The 121-minute film is streaming on JioHotstar.

The Idea of You

Based on Robinne Lee’s bestselling novel, The Idea of You casts Hathaway as Solène, a 40-year-old single mother who unexpectedly falls for Hayes Campbell, a much younger singer idolised by her daughter. Their relationship is tested by the age gap and the scrutiny surrounding it. Directed by Michael Showalter, the 115-to-116-minute romantic drama is available worldwide on Prime Video.

One Day

The romantic drama One Day follows Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew from their graduation through two decades of changing circumstances. The pair maintain the tradition of reconnecting on July 15 each year as their relationship evolves. Directed by Lone Scherfig, the film has a runtime of roughly 107 to 108 minutes and is available on JioHotstar, with purchase and rental options on Apple TV+.

Interstellar

Christopher Nolan’s science-fiction epic places Hathaway in a future where crop failure and dust storms threaten humanity’s survival. A former NASA pilot and a team of specialists embark on a mission through a wormhole near Saturn in search of a habitable world. The 169-minute film, which also stars Matthew McConaughey, is streaming on JioHotstar.

Ocean’s 8

This women-led spin-off from the Ocean’s 11 universe centres on a team planning an audacious jewellery heist at New York’s Met Gala. Their target is the Toussaint, a diamond necklace valued at $150 million and worn by Hathaway’s character, actress Daphne Kluger. Directed by Gary Ross, the 110-minute caper is available on both JioHotstar and Prime Video.

Together, the films offer a broad snapshot of Hathaway’s range ahead of Verity, from comic performances and emotionally driven romances to blockbuster science fiction and ensemble heist entertainment.
