Spain forward Ferran Torres has completed a permanent transfer to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in a deal worth approximately €50 million, concluding his four-and-a-half-year spell in Catalonia.

The 26-year-old versatile attacker signed a five-year contract with the reigning European and French champions, reuniting with manager Luis Enrique at the Parc des Princes ahead of the original 2027 expiration of his Barcelona contract.

An Emotional Farewell to Culers

Following the official announcement of his move, the former Manchester City forward took to social media to share a farewell video highlighting his top moments in a Blaugrana shirt, accompanied by a heartfelt message of gratitude to the club, his teammates, and supporters.

“First and foremost, I want to thank you all for everything. Defending these colors has been an honor,” Torres wrote. “What I’ve experienced at Barça in these four and a half years has made me a better footballer and a better person.”

He continued: “During this time, Barcelona has been my home, I arrived promising to give my all and that’s what I’ve worked for, always with the goal of helping the team, of taking Barça where it deserves to be, to the top.”

“I’m leaving behind friends at this club, both on and off the pitch, and many people who have made us all better. Together we’ve been champions with Barça, and many of us have also won titles with the national team. Thank you, and Força Barça!”

A Decorated Spell at Camp Nou

Torres arrived at Barcelona in January 2022 and went on to establish himself as a key contributor across multiple attacking positions. During his tenure with the Catalan giants, he notched 65 goals across all competitions and helped secure three La Liga titles alongside other domestic silverware before embarking on this new chapter in Ligue 1.
