India vs Netherlands: Exposure and Expectation Collide in Ahmedabad
Netherlands' Quest for Exposure
Netherlands' chances of qualifying for the Super Eights in the ongoing T20 World Cup have dwindled, but their match against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium remains significant. They hope to gain exposure and promote cricket in their country by playing in front of a large crowd.

The Netherlands have played India twice in World Cups since 2022, and handling the pressure of playing in big crowds has been a challenge. The Narendra Modi Stadium, with a capacity of over 100,000, promises to be their biggest test yet.
India's Plans
India, having already qualified for the Super Eights, have the option to experiment. However, their batting coach, Shitanshu Kotak, rules out experimentation, focusing on preparing for future games, including their match against South Africa at the same venue.
“Every match is important for us,” Kotak said. “On this ground, after this, the next match is on the 22nd (against South Africa). And the final can be here (too). So obviously, it is good for the players to get used to this condition.”
