Madring takes shape ahead of Madrid’s first Grand Prix

Madrid’s new Madring circuit has shared a fresh collection of images showing the progress being made ahead of the city’s maiden Formula 1 Grand Prix next month.

The latest photographs highlight the ongoing preparations at the venue, which is set to host Round 14 of the championship during the Spanish Grand Prix weekend from September 11-13.

A select group has already had the opportunity to experience the new track. Spanish driver Carlos Sainz completed the circuit’s debut laps earlier this year, giving the home hero an early taste of the layout.

Ferrari subsequently became the first Formula 1 team to run an F1 car at the Madring in July, providing an early on-track milestone as work continued ahead of the venue’s official race debut.

The newly released images offer the latest look at the circuit’s development as Madrid prepares to join the Formula 1 calendar.
