Lamine Yamal targets seven or eight La Liga titles with Barcelona

Lamine Yamal sets ambitious Barcelona trophy target

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has revealed that he wants to win at least seven or eight La Liga titles during his career with the Catalan club, while also targeting his first Champions League triumph.

Barcelona have made a perfect start to the league campaign, winning each of their opening seven matches and scoring 31 goals. Yamal has been central to that impressive run, recording 11 goal contributions in his seven appearances from the right wing.

Another league title would take Yamal’s personal total to four despite his young age. However, speaking to French publication L’Équipe, the Spain international made clear that he has much bigger ambitions.

“I’ve won three La Liga titles and I want SEVEN or EIGHT, at minimum. I haven’t won the Champions League yet. I want to win it, too.”

Yamal’s comments underline his desire to build a long-term legacy at Barcelona as the club pursue further domestic success and a return to the summit of European football.
