India's Under-19 selection committee has announced the squads for Australia's tour of India this September, and the headline inclusion is Aaryavir Sehwag — the son of former India batting great Virender Sehwag — who has landed his maiden India U19 call-up.

The right-handed batter, whose attacking strokeplay has drawn inevitable comparisons with his father, was named in the One-Day squad for the three-match series against Australia, to be played in Rajkot. Aaryavir recently turned out for the West Delhi Lions in the ongoing Delhi Premier League 2026, and previously made headlines during the Cooch Behar Trophy in 2024 when he smashed 297 against Meghalaya.

Also retained in the One-Day setup is wicketkeeper Anvay Dravid, son of former India captain Rahul Dravid, who kept his place following an impressive 87 during the U19 team's tour of Sri Lanka in July. Anvay is one of two keepers in the squad alongside Rajat Baghel. Notably, neither Aaryavir nor Anvay have been named in the squad for the two Multi-Day (Youth Test) fixtures.

Lakshya Raichandani will captain India in the One-Day fixtures, with Yashbardhan Chauhan, who led the side in Sri Lanka, serving as his deputy. The pair will swap roles for the two Multi-Day matches.

The tour begins in Rajkot, which will host all three One-Day matches — scheduled for late September — as well as the first Multi-Day fixture. The second Multi-Day match will be played at the B Ground in Ahmedabad from October 5 to 8.
