Dominik Livakovic arrives in Barcelona ahead of medical and four-year deal
Barcelona's next signing has arrived. Goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic touched down in the Catalan capital on Tuesday, moving one significant step closer to completing his switch to La Liga champions Barcelona.
The experienced Croatian international has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou for several weeks now. After word emerged that the Blaugrana were on the lookout for fresh blood between the posts, the 31-year-old was quickly tipped as a leading option.
From there, the two parties wasted little time in thrashing out the terms of a contract agreement, with Livakovic making clear his eagerness to take his talents to La Liga.
As showcased in footage from the airport, Livakovic has now landed in the city of Barcelona. The veteran shot-stopper has been scheduled to undergo his medical on Wednesday morning, before putting pen to paper on a four-year deal with the club.
Once finalised, the signing will add considerable experience and pedigree to Barcelona's goalkeeping ranks, with Livakovic bringing a wealth of international and European football to the Camp Nou dressing room.
