Glamorgan land Leicestershire all-rounder Ben Mike for 2027 push

Glamorgan have confirmed the signing of fast bowling all-rounder Ben Mike from Leicestershire, their first incoming addition ahead of the 2027 season.

The Nottingham-born 28-year-old progressed through the Leicestershire academy and made his county debut for the Foxes in 2018. He has also spent time at Yorkshire and played on loan for Warwickshire during his career.

Mike brings a wealth of experience to Cardiff, having taken 125 first-class wickets at an average of 37, with a highest score of 99 not out with the bat.

His credentials against his new county are already strong — Mike took 4 for 38 in Leicestershire's game against Glamorgan in August.

"I'm really excited to be joining Glamorgan and starting this new chapter in my career," Mike said. "Looking from the outside and from my first conversations with the club and Wally (director of cricket Mark Wallace), Glamorgan is clearly in an exciting place.

"It's a club with a proud history but the recent achievements, ambition and direction of the club is very exciting."
