João Cancelo has once again fuelled speculation about a return to Barcelona, posting a photo of himself in Blaugrana colours on his official Instagram account on Friday. The Portuguese full-back, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the Spotify Camp Nou from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, has repeatedly stated his desire to make the move permanent.

Despite establishing himself as a key figure under head coach Hansi Flick during his stint in Catalonia, negotiations between Barcelona and Al-Hilal over a permanent transfer fee have yet to reach a breakthrough. The 30-year-old's latest social media activity is widely seen as another public signal of his eagerness to return.
