Crystal Palace seal £21m deal for Israel star Anan Khalaili as fourth summer signing

Khalaili Completes £21m Switch to Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace have announced the signing of Israel international Anan Khalaili from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in a deal worth £21m, making him the club's fourth arrival of the summer transfer window.

Anan Khalaili signs for Crystal Palace

The 21-year-old, who has spent the last two campaigns in Belgium, bolsters Pierre Sage's wide options ahead of the Frenchman's debut season in the Palace dugout. Khalaili scored six goals for Union SG in the 2025-26 season, three of which came in the Champions League as the Belgian outfit narrowly failed to progress beyond the league stage.

Capable of playing across the frontline or as a wing-back, Khalaili expressed his excitement at the move, telling Palace's official website: "I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it's a new challenge for me. And Crystal Palace I like, because I have followed them for a long time. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more."

Sage's Summer Rebuild Gathers Pace

Khalaili's arrival follows the earlier captures of Dwight McNeil, Oscar Mingueza, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, as Sage reshapes his squad ahead of Palace's first campaign under his stewardship. The Eagles are coming off a remarkable period of silverware, having won the FA Cup in 2025, the Community Shield, and the Conference League last season.

Palace will compete in the Europa League this term — a competition they initially qualified for via their 2025 FA Cup triumph before being removed from the 2025-26 edition due to a breach of multi-club ownership rules. The Eagles will kick off their Premier League campaign next Saturday against Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
