Barcelona confirm Telefónica as five-year Espai Barça and Camp Nou connectivity partner
Barcelona land major tech partner for Camp Nou rebuild
FC Barcelona have secured a new five-year sponsorship deal that will run through the heart of their ambitious Espai Barça redevelopment. Spanish multinational telecommunications company Telefónica, S.A. has signed on as an official partner, the club confirmed in an official statement.

The agreement was formalised at a signing ceremony attended by club president Joan Laporta and Telefónica España chairman Borja Ochoa. Under the terms of the deal, Telefónica will provide a range of connectivity services at the Spotify Camp Nou and will also enjoy a dedicated box and a lounge space named after the company at the stadium.
A connected future for the blaugrana home
“Telefónica will provide a range of connectivity services at Spotify Camp Nou,” the club said in its announcement. The partnership is designed to make the renovated ground increasingly connected and innovative for supporters.
“This agreement with Telefónica brings to Espai Barça a leading technology and telecommunications company that understands the scale and ambition of the project,” Laporta said. “This partnership will allow us to continue working towards an increasingly connected and innovative Spotify Camp Nou and will help us offer the best possible experiences to our members and fans in general.”
Part of a wider transformation
The Espai Barça project encompasses far more than the famous stadium. It already includes the completed Estadi Johan Cruyff, while a new indoor arena and a public plaza are also part of the masterplan. The bulk of the undertaking, however, remains the extensive refurbishment of the Camp Nou, Barcelona’s iconic home ground.
Telefónica doubles down on Catalonia
For Telefónica, the tie-up underlines a deep commitment to the region. “Telefónica is reaffirming its institutional role as a driving force in the Spanish economy, its support for culture and sport, and its commitment to Catalonia and the city of Barcelona,” Ochoa said.
The company highlighted that it invested 121 million euros in Catalonia last year and employs more than 1,000 people in the region, reinforcing the strategic weight of the partnership beyond the football pitch.
