PSG confirm Kvaratskhelia ACL rupture as Dembele and Marquinhos ruled out

Kvaratskhelia suffers ACL rupture in PSG's win over Barcelona

PSG have confirmed that star winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during Tuesday night's 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona at the Parc des Princes.

The Georgian international now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines as a result of the injury sustained in the match.

Dembele and Marquinhos also sidelined

The setback adds to a mounting injury list for the back-to-back European champions, with Ousmane Dembele and captain Marquinhos also likely to miss the next several weeks after suffering thigh injuries in the same game.

All three players were struck down during the encounter, leaving PSG with a significantly depleted squad just as the campaign enters a demanding phase.
