La Liga giants Barcelona have secured reinforcements to the club's midfield ranks at academy level, with confirmation that a deal has been put in place for Arnau Casas.

A starlet tipped for a bright future

Casas, a 16-year-old Spanish youngster who chiefly lines out in the middle of the park, has long been held in high regard across the Spanish football landscape and is tipped for a bright future in the game.

Barcelona, after learning of his talents, moved for the midfielder several months ago. The teenager went on to represent the Blaugrana in several youth tournaments in the final weeks of the 2025/26 campaign.

To date, however, his signing had not been made official by those in a position of power at the Camp Nou — until now.

Official club confirmation

As per a statement across Barça's official social media platforms:

"FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with the player Arnau Casas for his incorporation into the Club in the youth stage. At the signing ceremony, he was accompanied by the director of Formative Football, José Ramon Alexanco."

Casas joins Erik Domínguez as the second youngster to have swapped Cornellà for Catalunya's capital thus far this summer, as Barcelona continue to strengthen their academy setup with some of the brightest young talent in Spanish football.
