Vlahović holds out hope of Barcelona move as striker market dries up
BARCELONA — Free agent striker Dušan Vlahović is continuing to hold out hope for a move to Spain with La Liga champions Barcelona, even as the club's search for a centre-forward drags on through the summer.
With Robert Lewandowski gone, Hansi Flick's squad is short of options through the middle, and the Camp Nou brass has been scouring the market for a natural striker. To date though, despite links with a host of profiles, Barcelona have yet to land their man.
According to a report from Diario Sport, the Serbian and his team are 'very aware of the evolution of the Blaugrana market' and believe they will ultimately have options to sign. Though not the priority, Vlahović's name remains on the table in Barcelona.
