Young defender Jofre Torrents has completed a permanent move from Barcelona to Dutch giants Ajax, penning a long-term contract that runs until 2030.

Following the confirmation of his transfer to the Eredivisie side, the La Masia graduate took to social media to share a heartfelt farewell message to the club and its supporters, reflecting on his nine-year spell in Catalonia.

Posting on Instagram, Torrents expressed immense gratitude to the coaches, staff, and teammates who supported his development throughout his journey in Barcelona's youth ranks.

“Hello Culers, after nine seasons, the time has come to close a very important chapter of my life. I can only express my gratitude to all the coaches, teammates, and everyone at the club who helped me grow both professionally and personally over these years,” Torrents wrote.

“I leave with a heart full of memories, friendships, and moments that will stay with me forever. It has been an immense honor to defend this badge and to be able to say that Barça has been—and will always be—my home. Thank you for everything. Long live Barça, today and always.”
