New Zealand's fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series against England due to a side strain. The injury presented itself during a training session, prompting the decision to rest him ahead of the October 26 series opener.

Jamieson, who played in the first two T20Is, missed the final match due to discomfort. Head coach Rob Walter emphasized the team's cautious approach: "We felt it was best for him to sit out this one-day series and give himself the best chance of being ready for the West Indies tour," he said.

A replacement player is expected to be named soon to strengthen New Zealand's ODI squad as the series begins.
