Quarterback Russell Wilson has always looked at football as more than just a profession. For the veteran NFL playmaker, the game serves as part of a much larger life lesson he aims to pass down to his children, who remain his primary source of motivation both on and off the field.

Speaking at the Macy’s x Rookie Kids “Runway on Broadway” event in New York City, Wilson opened up about how fatherhood continuously shapes his mindset and fuels his daily drive.

“My kids inspire me, it's just their passion and love every day. I get to do what I love to do — that's play football and do my day job, and try to do it really, really well,” Wilson explained.

Family, Creativity and 3Brand

Wilson and his wife, Grammy-winning singer Ciara, share a blended family of four children: daughters Sienna Princess and Amora Princess, son Win Harrison, and Wilson’s stepson Future Zahir. Seeing them at different stages of childhood has strengthened Wilson’s desire to foster their individuality and ambition.

That philosophy is also the driving force behind 3Brand, the youth-focused lifestyle and apparel company Wilson founded in 2021. At the New York event, his three eldest children hit the runway to showcase the brand's latest designs.

“My kids, they also inspire me as I watch them playing sports,” Wilson shared. “And I'm like, ‘Oh, I got another idea. Let's start working on jerseys, and let's start working on things that can impact them.’ So, we have a big give back component — and I love them dreaming. I was a kid that was dreaming and I want every kid to dream just like I did, just like Ciara did.”

Leading by Example Beyond the Gridiron

Having navigated high-pressure environments across tenures with the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New York Giants, Wilson understands the intensity that comes with playing quarterback in the NFL. However, he maintains that his ultimate purpose transcends personal statistics and victories.

By showing up each day with passion and discipline, Wilson hopes his children see a father who turned his childhood dreams into reality while remaining dedicated to encouraging others to do the same.
