Red Bull hire Tom McCullough as McLaren extend Norris and debut H-Wing

Red Bull is hiring former Aston Martin stalwart engineer Tom McCullough to be its new head of racing — effectively chief engineer for its race team — beginning in 2027, according to the latest paddock moves.

Elsewhere at the front of the grid, McLaren's Lando Norris is the latest star driver to commit his long-term future to his current team with a new multi-year contract extension, following a wave of similar deals across the grid.

And staying with McLaren, the team is finally set to race its version of Ferrari's rotating rear wing, dubbed the "H-Wing" — a name chosen to please an airline sponsor that also evokes memories of the squad's actual "F-Duct" innovation from 2010. With a Star Wars ship already bearing the "H-Wing" name, the playful nomenclature may have to stop there.
