Lamine Yamal and Spain stars return to Barcelona training as Ferran Torres nears PSG move

Hansi Flick finally has his first-team squad almost entirely available for training as Spain’s World Cup winners returned to Barcelona on Wednesday following their post-tournament breaks.

Barcelona players training

Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Pau Cubarsí, and Dani Olmo arrived at the club’s headquarters on Wednesday morning to undergo routine medical tests. Both Cubarsí and Olmo immediately joined their teammates on the training pitch to begin their preseason integration.

The only notable absence from the session was Ferran Torres. The forward has been granted permission to remain at home as he awaits the finalization of his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

With the return of these key players, and Jules Kounde having arrived on Tuesday, Barcelona is now operating at near-full strength. This provides a critical boost as the team prepares for their La Liga debut away to Elche on August 23.

Preseason Schedule

As Hansi Flick looks to optimize the team's fitness and tactical shape, Barça has a series of friendly fixtures scheduled:

  • FC Basel: This Sunday in Switzerland.
  • Al-Ahly: Next Wednesday at Camp Nou for the annual Joan Gamper Trophy.
