Juventus complete signing of Jhon Lucumi from Bologna in €19.5m deal
Juventus have confirmed the signing of defender Jhon Lucumi from Bologna, with the Colombia international joining the Bianconeri on a four-year contract in a deal worth €19.5m plus add-ons.
The 28-year-old centre-back ends a four-year spell in Emilia-Romagna, during which he made 152 appearances for the Rossoblu and helped the club lift the Coppa Italia in the 2024-25 season. Lucumi also gained valuable European experience at Bologna, featuring in both the Champions League and the Europa League, reaching the quarter-finals of the latter competition last season before being eliminated by eventual champions Aston Villa.
Lucumi arrives with impressive statistical pedigree. Since the start of the 2022-23 Serie A campaign, he has won more duels than any other Bologna defender (450) and leads the way in tackles (116), while also registering the most headed clearances (160) and interceptions (109) among the club's back line.
The Colombian international also played five times at the 2026 World Cup, where his nation reached the last 16 before bowing out to Switzerland on penalties following a 0-0 draw.
He becomes the latest addition through the door at the Allianz Stadium, following in the footsteps of Randal Kolo Muani, Kerim Alajbegovic and Zeki Celik during a busy summer window for Juventus. The Bianconeri rounded off their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 friendly victory over Palermo.
Luciano Spalletti's side begin their Serie A season on August 23 away to Frosinone.
