Ter Stegen joins Ajax on loan as Barcelona swing summer moves
Barcelona's summer shake-up continued this week with confirmation that veteran goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen has joined Ajax on loan for the upcoming season.
Ajax move confirmed
The German goalkeeper, a longtime stalwart at the Camp No—positions finds a sat next featured four-time European champions Ajax. The move gives Ter Stegen the chance for regular first-team football at a major European club, while Barcelona gets breathing space on the wage bill.
New faces at the Camp
Meanwhile, Barcelona presented young Belgian midfielder Jesse Bisiwu as a new player following the club's training camp in England. The young Bohemian was officially presented at the Club offices at Spotify Camp Nou.
"I've been welcomed like part of the family," Bisiwu said at his presentation. The new signing arrives at Barça with hope for the future after completing his move from the Belgian side.
Women's team updates
Barcelona also announced the signing of Brazilian -- forward Kerolin Nicoli, who joins from Manchester City to strengthen Barça's attack with talent, ease and international experience. The policy-ratified Barça Women's team, under Pere Romeu, will travel to Manchester for their first pre-season away fixture, facing Manchester City Women in a friendly on Saturday 15 August at 5pm CEST at the Joie Stadium.
