F1 launches Higher or Lower overtakes game with 2027 Grand Prix tickets up for grabs

Formula 1 is giving fans a new way to test their knowledge of the 2026 season as the championship resumes this weekend at the Dutch Grand Prix. The sport has launched a brand-new Higher or Lower game, powered by F1 Global Partner AWS, that challenges supporters to guess how many overtakes each driver has made across the season so far — with Grand Prix tickets up for grabs.

How the game works

The rules are simple: players must predict whether each driver has a higher or lower overtakes tally so far in 2026 than the previous racer in the sequence. With new data points being dropped each race week, the game is designed to keep fans coming back as the season unfolds.

Prize on offer

By playing, participants are automatically entered into a draw to win Grand Prix tickets to a race of their choosing in 2027. It is a chance for the most observant fans to turn their race-watching expertise into a once-in-a-lifetime trackside experience.

Zandvoort set for overtaking action

The timing is fitting, with F1 returning to an event that — having been the scene of many battles over the years — is likely to feature quite a few overtakes. The Dutch Grand Prix has historically produced wheel-to-wheel drama, making it the perfect backdrop for an overtakes-based challenge.

Can anyone topple Antonelli?

The game poses a tantalising question at the halfway point of the campaign: Kimi Antonelli might be heading the championship, but is he top of the overtakes leaderboard, or has another name made more moves during the first half of 2026? Fans will have to play to find out.

Elsewhere at Zandvoort, the weekend build-up has already delivered talking points, with Lando Norris explaining why he was 'a little surprised' to take pole and conceding McLaren were 'not quick enough' in qualifying, while Max Verstappen outlined the 'limitations' behind his Dutch GP qualifying display. Russell and Mercedes will also be looking to keep their rivals at bay in sprint action at the circuit.

Fans can play the new Higher or Lower game now via the official Formula 1 platforms and put their overtakes instincts to the test.
