The weekend kicks off on Friday, August 21, with Practice 1. The action intensifies on Saturday, August 22, which will feature both Sprint Qualifying and the Sprint race. The main event culminates on Sunday, August 23, with the final Qualifying session and the Grand Prix race.

The Challenge of Circuit Zandvoort

Known for being "really quick," "pretty insane," and "old-school," the 4.259km circuit is celebrated for its undulating layout that flows through sand dunes, creating a rollercoaster-like experience for drivers. One of the most striking features is the banking at the Tarzan corner, which reaches an impressive 18 degrees, surpassing even the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The circuit's history dates back to 1948, with the first Formula 1 Grand Prix held in 1952, dominated by Alberto Ascari and Ferrari. After a 36-year hiatus ending in 2021, Zandvoort has reclaimed its place as a staple of the F1 calendar.

Fan Experience and Highlights

For spectators, the atmosphere at Zandvoort is famously "orange-hued," driven largely by the massive support for Max Verstappen. Experts recommend the best vantage points for watching the race be at the first turn (Tarzan) or the banked corners, specifically Arie Luyendijkbocht and Hugenholtzbocht, the latter of which was modified into a parabolic corner to facilitate side-by-side racing.

The track continues to be a benchmark for speed, with the fastest lap time currently held by Lewis Hamilton, who clocked a 1:11.097 in 2021.
